چکیده

Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) have attracted interest due to their capacity feasibly supply buildings with renewable power generation, helping achieve net-zero or net-positive energy goals. BIPV systems include many different solutions depending on the application, PV technology, and envelope material they substitute. Among systems, last two decades seen a rising in transparent semi-transparent (T- ST-BIPV), which add features such as daylighting solar radiation control. T- ST-BIPV mainly consist of opaque cells embedded fenestration (PV cladding), while most recent research considers (homogeneous glazing) improved optical properties. The evaluation building performance is complex, it needs combine optical, thermal, electrical, calculations. Therefore, adequate modeling tools are key development these technologies. A literature review presented ST-BIPV. First, types technologies present summarized, highlighting current trends. Then, common electrical models described, finishing summary T-and capabilities simulation tools. Regardless implemented tools, main challenges be considered model, inclusion output window balance, calculation cell temperature for correct assessment efficiency. Modeling mostly conventional (Si-based thin-film) technologies, studies rarely address cost systems.

Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV): Review, Potentials, Barriers and Myths

To date, none of the predictions that have been made about the emerging BIPV industry have really hit the target. The anticipated boom has so far stalled and despite developing and promoting a number of excellent systems and products, many producers around the world have been forced to quit on purely economic grounds. The authors believe that after this painful cleansing of the market, a massiv...
